The Men That Don't Fit In

There's a race of men that don't fit in, A race that can't stay still;
So they break the hearts of kith and kin,And they roam the world at will.They range the field and they rove the flood,And they climb the mountain's crest;Theirs is the curse of the gypsy blood,And they don't know how to rest.If they just went straight they might go far;They are strong and brave and true;But they're always tired of the things that are,And they want the strange and new.They say: "Could I find my proper groove,What a deep mark I would make!"So they chop and change, and each fresh move Is only a fresh mistake.

Bud Lilly's Trout Shop

Bud Lilly's shop has been an institution among fly fishing for 60 years. Bud was one of the leaders in the catch and release policy . It is in the middle of downtown West Yellowstone MT. Dick Green is the owner now and this is the best shop in west. There are other shops in town that are good to like MRO, West Yellowstone fly shop and Blue Ribbon Flys.

The guides we have at our shop are the best in the town and they are super helpful and they have taught me a lot about this sport I love.

New beginnings

So I have not blogged in a while. A lot has  happened I have moved to Montana . I have been flyfishing all over the west down in Fraser Colorado in Wyoming in Yellowstone National Park and all over Montana. The most important thing is I have gotten engaged to my bestfriend MK who came on this trip with me . She is the best thing I have had in my life. She is leaving soon for a two month contract on a cruise linner as a singer.

   So I have desided to stay in west for a month longer and fish the brown trout on the Madison as they spawn.I'm not sure how it is going to be when MK leaves we have not been apart since we got together 8 mounths ago. So to help pass the time I have a buddy flying in to Bozeman form Alaska to fish the browns with me. Then hopfully he will help me drive back to North Carolina.

   There are a lot of plans for the winter. One of the most important thing we have to do is plan the wedding. I also have to plan the honey moon witch I think is going to be a combo of Chili and Patagonoa a two week adventure of these two countrys. There is also a trip in march to Belize to go fly fishing for tarpon. Then there the adventures in the Smokies. And then in April we are starting the road trip out west where we will hit a lot of different states that we have friends in to see .

New truck

I just got a new 2006 Toyota Tacoma 4x4. This is my dream truck it is a extended cab so i have plenty of room to put all the gear. I put on a ladder rack for right now. Trying to find a camper shell for it so I have done a few modification like i built a computer stand in the front seat and put in a couple other little things in there. She and i start our adventure together tomorrow when we drive the 7 hours to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. which is the first leg of my adventure. I stay out there for 5 weeks to raise enough money to make it out to Montana. Then i start my trek out to the promise land on the 23 of April. I will keep the blog up to date with pics of all the adventures.

Belize

So last september i went to Belize to fly fish. We took a plane from Charlotte NC to Belize City. Then hopped on a puddle jumper to ambergris kay where we stayed in San Pedro in a fly fishing resort call El Pescador. We stayed for 7 days and fished for 6 of those days. Man nothing like 6 days on a salt water flat searching for bone fish, permit and tarpon.
